Image title - Mission statement and strategy
We believe in addressing ADME and toxicity issues at the very earliest stages of drug discovery so that our partners can improve the quality of their compounds and focus their efforts on those compounds most likely to succeed as drugs.

Our portfolio of technologies is aimed at identifying potential problems during compound library design, lead identification, selection and optimization.

We are now in a position to be able to approach the design of drugs in a similar way to that taken by the aeronautical industry in the design of new planes - making extensive use of experimental and computer-based simulation methods and testing the components (compound properties) and the system (in vivo pharmacokinetics) before manufacture. The benefits of knowing a compound's potential behaviour in the body are indisputable and become far greater if this technology is applied as early as possible in the drug discovery process - even before the compounds are synthesized. The aim is to pinpoint the potential failures as early as possible - freeing up researchers to concentrate their time on the compounds that are more likely to succeed as marketed drugs.

By adopting Cyprotex's technology, pharmaceutical companies can improve the quality of their compound libraries before they are synthesized and apply the simulated "make-test" cycle to drug discovery as routinely performed in aeroplane design. We expect this will contribute greatly to bringing about the much-needed improvements in pharmaceutical productivity.
