Cyprotex discovery
workshop program

Day One

Cyprotex Introduction to ADME Training Course
September 22nd, 2010. 1.00pm - 5.00pm

free registration

This course is designed for personnel in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries and contract research organisations who want to understand the rationale, methodology and importance of in vitro ADME and DMPK studies during the drug discovery and development processes. This course is focused at individuals within industry wanting to expand their knowledge of in vitro ADME and DMPK for example, medicinal chemists wishing to understand the importance of early ADME testing or project managers wanting to understand the DMPK profile of lead compounds.

The various types of in vitro ADME and DMPK studies will be discussed detailing the benefits of performing these assays early in drug discovery, an overview of the methodologies currently available and how these data can be used to make informed decisions based upon a compounds overall ADME/DMPK profile.

1.00 – 1.10 Introduction and overview
1.10 – 2.00 Membrane permeability and drug transporters
2.00 – 3.00 In vitro drug metabolism
3.00 - 3.15 Coffee Break
3.15 - 4.15 CYP450 mediated drug-drug interactions
4.15 - 5.00 Application of in vitro data in drug development
