Cyprotex appoints Russell Gibbs to the Board as Chief Financial Officer

Cyprotex PLC (LSE: CRX), the drug discovery technology and information company, is pleased to announce that Group Chief Financial Officer, Mr Russell Gibbs, will be joining its Board of Directors with immediate effect.

Mr Gibbs brings with him over twenty years of experience in the international capital markets, having worked for a number major investment banks over this period, including UBS, Paribas SA and NatWest. A wide range of roles, including many customer facing activities, have seen Mr Gibbs advising on initial public offerings, merger and acquisitions and new fund raising in both the quoted equity and bond markets. Being able to call on such skills will be increasingly important for Cyprotex, as it expands its global reach, product offering and enters increasingly into sophisticated joint ventures and collaborative agreements.

Over the past year, Cyprotex grew significantly, both in terms of revenues and customer base, as it capitalised on its growing reputation as a high quality provider of information and technology to the Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical industry. Cyprotex uses both computational and highly automated laboratory approaches to understand how compounds are processed by the body.
