Supporting Charitable Organisations
Dr Anthony Baxter, our CEO at
Cyprotex, has pledged a commitment for Cyprotex to support a number of charities. One of the most entertaining of these events was for the Movember Foundation. Movember is a month-long
‘celebration’ of the moustache, highlighting men’s health issues, specifically prostate cancer. To date, Movember has raised over £30 million globally. To raise money for this cause,
many of the male Cyprotex team ‘attempted’ to grow moustaches during November last year. As a result, Cyprotex raised £856 in support of the charity.
Cyprotex also held a coffee morning in September to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support. A range of delicious cakes were baked by Cyprotex volunteers and tasters on the day were charged for the privilege! Overall we raised £140 from this event.
Just recently, Cyprotex have donated £419 to a local charity, the East Cheshire Hospice, in lieu of Christmas cards and following a Christmas raffle at Cyprotex.
