Hamburg, Germany - 20 November 2015: Evotec announced that Charles Sabine, former Emmy-awarded NBC News journalist and a high-profile spokesman for the global Huntington’s disease community, gave a lecture on “Why every single person at Evotec matters more than they know” at Evotec’s headquarters in Hamburg.
In 2008, Charles Sabine became a pioneering spokesman for freedom of scientific research and patients of degenerative brain diseases – Huntington’s disease in particular, which has affected his family. “It was a great honour and pleasure to welcome Charles here at Evotec. His speech reinforced our research and gave every individual Evotec scientist a reason to be proud of one’s own work in the life science industry and strength to aim at changing patients’ lives”, said Dr Werner Lanthaler, CEO of Evotec.
Evotec recently extended its research partnership with the CHDI Foundation Inc., a privately-funded non-profit biomedical research organisation, which was initiated in 2006. This partnership is exclusively dedicated to rapidly discovering and developing therapies that slow the progression of Huntington’s disease.
